Hey guys!

I got those "MudGuards" put on from the BWM Workshop after taking the delivery of my car, within couple of days! its very important to have it in India, as chances are bright that u will get lotsa nicks with small pebbles flying around. Also in rainy seasons, the roads get flooded and places where there are potholes, its very essential to have the Mud Guards to protect the car from having MUD around your bumpers and front doors.

Cost me around US$200 for the Mudguards/Mudflaps + $50 for fitting. = $250.00
I'd be more worried about the potholes that are flooded than the mud around my bumpers and front doors!

Ok, here ya go. Poke all the fun you want! I put them on for functionality. (See the driveway!)
Actually, I thought that you had fitted a body kit!

Seriously though, they look fine to me. I have no choice with my ride, as BMW don't make a set that fit with the M Sport Areo kit.

Don't forget he's in India. Who knows how much they mark up their prices.
Apparently 100%! I bought mine for $95 at the BMW parts counter. Installed them myself. I probably would have skipped them had I realized you have to take the wheels off and drill holes to install them; neither of which is a big deal to do, I'm just not too keen on drilling holes in my cars. I had to drill a hole in the roof of my previous car when I installed the factory Nav system. Took me several hours since I wanted it perfect. Probably took 50 measurements despite having a template to go by! But it all worked out in the end since it turned out looking exactly like a factory job. Nobody ever questioned it; just astonished that I would drill a hole in my baby!

Not in the UK. The 2008 accessories catalogue says "Mudflaps cannot be fitted to sport models".

Nah mate, didnt get a LV "look" bag with it !

Prices of Cars and Spares - which are imported as is or as a CKD unit (Complete Knock Down kits of cars) are levied very high Custom Duty.

the OnRoad price for my E60 520d '08 August, i paid around US$100,000/- !!!!! the Spare parts are also damn expensive here! eBay works perfect for me, most of the time, no duty is levied when i buy and get it couriered to my address, but at times, if something electronic, then yes, a duty is levied - around 30-40%! still cheaper! coz in the workshop, the spares are around 100-150% more than what it costs in the US.

Hmm... Well, if you decide you want a set, go to Hendrick BMW and order up a set. (Or request a U.S. spec catelog so you can see all the stuff we don't get.)
