hey guys, i found a pair of factory OEM adaptive xenons for the E60...how much should i pay for them?? are they just plug and play in my non-xenon E60?? If so i think i will buy them...otherwise i can just go and buy a H7 HID kit for about 200 bucks and just install it.

If you already have xenons, they should be plug and play except you'll need a software updated and/maybe a new LCM to recognize the adaptive feature. Not 100% but anyone want to add their .02?

There are several threads here regarding upgrade to xenon. My advice, do not install HID kit on halo headlight. It is illegal (in most countries) and not as good as the oem xenon headlight. As mentioned by anand before you will need coding and most probably new light module.

yeah i really want to get the factory Xenon headlights...i have halogen now so i want to upgrade...the HID kit is not illegal over here but seems to be my only option as im not going to spend $1000+ for a new set of headlights...there was a set on eBay but did not sell that was from germany thats why i asked how much should i buy a set of factory xenons that include everything for?

It really depends... For example on ebay (uk) there is someone who's selling a pair of adaptive xenon headlights for GBP 1099! I think you can consider yourself lucky if you manage to get a pair for around $500 (including ballasts and bulbs). Don't forget to add the cost for coding and maybe new LCM.

+1,

go for OEM with the headlights, the another solution is cheap and not nice.
The Lumens are less than factory Lights, factory Xenon have approx 3200 Lumens after market is much lesser and you don't have the projectors in your headlights. My advice go for OEM is much expensiver but the best solution.
