E60 M5 Front bumper upgrade
So I知 getting my bumper replaced in a few weeks and I知 wondering if the year matters. I have a 2008 528xi and I知 wondering if it mattered if I got the 2006 m5 style front bumper. Please help!! Just need to know if the fitment will work since it痴 aftermarket

to the forum!
BMW did what they call an LCI refresh in 2008 on E60s where the styling of many body parts was updated. I would say that there is a good chance that the 2006 bumper will not align correctly with your 2008. There are M5 bumpers available for post-LCI models. I'd go that route to be safe.

The Pre-lci and lci M-sport or M5 bumpers are identical other than the LCI adds a build in side marker/reflector because the LCIs deleted it from the headlight. Fitment should be exactly the same.
Aftermarket usually just had a 1 fit all(likely without markers) and fitment might not be as flawless as oem

Looking to put this 1m style bumper on my 08 528xi. Any thoughts or reviews on the product? Thinking about putting it on myself and bringing it to a shop to get painted. Suggestions??

The OEM M5 bumper only fits if you also swap out the OEM M5 fenders. In my opinion this is the only way to do it.
All of the others do not fit well and are made in China or Taiwan. They NEVER fit right.
