The car will drop the voltage on the AE line when the low beams turn on which might explain why your AE shut off. The capacitor will keep it at 12V consistent so as to keep the relay on 100% of the time.

Now the question is....which capacitor? I'm sure theres a better way to do this but I just spliced one of my warning cancelors into the front of my relay harness and everything works 100% (see the link below)

Hope this helps!
So it seems that all I'm missing is the capacitors. I'll try that and see what happens. Just more $ and time on these damn lights.

Yeah...that should be it...you only need to splice one of those in....not both....although they usually sell them as a set...

Let me know if it works ok!

basically what you need everything is available on ebay. here is my angel eyes HID conversion kit bought on eBay does not cost much and working without any problems

1. Relay harness with resistors
2. Capacitor x1 (sold as pair but only 1 required)
3. HID kit (slim ballasts 35w) + 6000k bulbs

This kit works without coding? Is it still possible to get it on e-bay? What was the price of it? I´m now curious about the coding, because I wrote to one guy, who installs HID AE on E60s and he told me, that it needs to be coded first, because of the current. How is it then?

no coding required. this is only for cars with LCI dynamic xenons headlights no matter it is LCI car or they been retrofitted. these parts are available on ebay some people sell them as a complete kit and make money on it but if you do a research you can find all bits on ebay it would cost roughly £60 then a professional fitting required because if you do something wrong you can destroy one of components in worst scenario it will be your light module so only do it if you know what you doing.

took me 3hrs to do it because bumper need to be removed and lights so you drill holes in caps to fit xenon bulbs then need to find space for all the resistors etc to make it look nice. see result on picture

thinking to try 5000K bulbs now because 6000K look a bit greenish see my picture. also it might be worth buying 55W HID kit not 35W people claim 55W is brighter without green tint. anyway they are not as same as you see newer OEM very bright LED angle eyes on some BMW but they are much better than any other options available such as 20W or 40W chinese H8 LED bulbs which hardly seen in day light I know this because I have tried LED bulbs and they are just rubbish in my opinion

check this vid to compare 35w and 50w

actually the left one greenish is 6k and right one is 5k it is because 55w bulbs and ballasts are brighter and 6k does give a bit of green tint it is not pure white
