Hello All,
I've been a member since picking up my E60, this forum has provided hours of reading material
...but now I have a question of my own which I cannot answer through searching.
I have already retrofitted CCC > CIC and now I want to install the new CIC controller, I have the controller but I can't find out which new centre console trim part I need?
As I understand it, doing this on a pre-LCI the centre console trim must be manually adjusted/cut but on an LCI there is a new part with the correct hole for the new CIC controller, if anybody has this part number I would be grateful.
My trim is Aluminium: http://bmwvin.com/?vin=CZ02821
The furthest I have got is item number 22 (might be completely off the mark here): http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...16&hg=51&fg=35
I understand I also need 51169155970 and 51169155987 for the controller bracket, I think these are correct.
Best Regards,
Warren

I just did the CIC retrofit on a pre-LCI. I was looking at that part 22 before. However, I was talked out of it because it wouldn't fit. There are air ducts on the pre-LCI that would get in the way of the tray on that part. As bruce_miranda says, use the 6 series surround and cut the hole out on your existing trim to fit the new controller.

The bracket and mount screw into the existing holes for a secure fix and the trim fits perfectly - these parts get you the controller mounted with the better looking thin border.
Obviously, you still have to make the hole bigger underneath the centre console but you don't need to be neat with that.

I would very much like to order one, my E60 is pre-LCI
Thanks!
