Anyone spotted them yet?

 

Bought the chrome ones months ago with the intentions of blacking them out but they didnt fit correctly and were'nt plug n play as stated so returned them......stay away .... cheap Taiwanese crap

 

Did you have pre-Lci xenons or pre-Lci halogens on your car?

 

I think it safe to say almost all aftermarket headlights for our car are cheap/ugly

 

Halogens bud , then upgraded to lci halogens and now upgrading to lci xenon's

 

How was the lci halogen retrofit? A lot of work in rewiring the plugs of the lights? Did you have to get a new LCM installed/coded?

 

I was looking for options for my halogen almost 3 yrs ago but decided to go all the way to LCI Bi-Xenon and never look back.
I think at least going with LCI halogen will give a much cleaner look instead of those non-OEM stuff as they seems to look too busy.

A lot of work on rewiring then hacking it when I started my conversion 3 years ago then finally coded everything as it should be myself and the result is priceless.

Ah for sure man, but its just the amount of rewiring/work/coding involved.
Need a new LCM unit too, rewire the plugs, coding, etc. stuff which I can't really do myself since I need the car everyday basically.

 

Don't let the beauty of the E60 down by going w/ light that make the car look like ricey Honda Civic or something ... I would think even the OEM halogen look cleaner.

All depend on how far you willing to go, the way I did it initially wasn't depend on the LCM, as far as the car concern it still w/ halogen by hacking the headlight to trick the car.
I didn't know I have a newer LCM until later time but yes after I found out my car came w/ LM2 then I then went to next project to convert my hacking to full conversion w/ rear integration and all via coding.

Same w/ mine it's my daily drive too and I did all my plug re-wiring within a day on Sunday. Granted hacking the headlight is not w/o mishap but that would be the idea of modding project ... finding new stuff ... otherwise we just accept the halogen look and functionality and forget about how ugly they look and move on.
