I also asked about this module in another thread about fade-in AEs, but noone answered either.

However, the Germans are buying and using this like crazy, so I am pretty sure it works just fine. The only problems I've read so far are that the cable between your PC and the module sometimes does not work, because it requires a special sort of port on the PC.

To me, it's a matter of time, money to throw away, and availability of alternatives (cheaper coding etc.) before I get this. I also want my car to wake up like a beast..

i have no clue about that

re: the cable, the germans are actually having problems with the cable that links the eLight module with their PC. this cable is supplied by the eLight vendor and is needed to do load all the settings on the module, which prior to that you have defined on the PC with the program in the package

the software can be downloaded here http://www.car-solution.de/en/downloads.html and you just need a serial cable which goes from the module to the pc for programing

The software has the install instructions as well

Maybe you should PM Rizbel. He got it to work for his car. There's a video of it in the AE Illuminating thread.

Not gone one, but .. if its not communicating with the module you may need to set the serial port to a specific comm port (usually 1) would be something worth chceking...
