HEy guys got a 2008 535i, trying to find a good DCI for it im gunna tune with JB4. i heard of aFe and BMS. but i dont know who to go with any help would be appreciated. Also lookng for a good quad exhaust i heard that magnaflow is good with an x pipe.

I use bms dci and its been great. I only recommend a dci to someone with a flash or tune since at higher psi the greater air flow outweighs the heat soak dilemma. If someone is running stock stick with the stock airbox. Also I wouldn't use afe products if they were free, feel free to read up some previous posts regarding them.

my friend with a 335i went with a afe dci and cobb tuning and the cobb didnt really do much, i will look into bms thank you.

if anyone else has anymore suggestions please throw them up!

i was looking at bms dci and why is there no heat shield or anything?

heat shield or not, heat soak is inevitable with an open cone design...

sorry for noob question but the aFe one hasa heat shield but what your saying is that through the heat shield you will still get heat?

I don't like the aFe heat shield design, it sits right up on the filter almost like its blocking half of the filter from even working. If that is the case then why even use a cone filter.
