Which modules are you trying to write your VIN to?
You have to be very specific as there are many possibilities here
The following are the module names that display yyyyyyy, 00000000, or incorrect VIN in INPA I've dome made many changes to the car but can't figure this out so I've just been living with it.
CDC, ZBE, FAS, BFS, LM, CID, KLIMA, VIRTSG92, CCC (No longer in the car) MOSTGW, MMI/CCC

I have seen certain Modules in my car, which does not show the VIN. You can do this via Tool32. I have and many other members have given details on this, in the previous posts. Please go through them.

I also use BMW E/F scanner to change VIN info on ECU and tcu for test tuning and it's always worked great for me, no "coding", just change vin option and enter new 17 digits. . . . I kind of use that as my gotto now . . . . I will have a look later and see if it also does all the other modules as well.

The best way to handle this is to use Tool32. There are usually up to 3 ways to handle updating the VIN for a module; c_fg_schreiben, c_fg_auftrag, and aif_schreiben. The latter will ensure that the VIN is properly displayed in INPA and elsewhere; Though you aren't always able to use it - so it's not going to be 100% guarantee that all modules will show the VIN properly. The issue is with the latter requiring parameters that aren't always available - and no matter what you put for them it tends to simply fail.
You should be able to fix it for most of the modules though.
I'm in Gwinnett County... If you need help.... I'm local until March 31st...
I have put most of the files together that anyone with a E Series will need to complete a CIC Retrofit.... These files should also help those with NBT EVO Also.....
Folder is just a little over 11GB ...
This is because of the SP-Daten v67.0.000 - Over 8GB - Which includes - E60 - E65 - E70 - E89
How do I get access to this information? need to complete my retrofit.

You can search the internet for standard bmw coding tools, you should find something at bmwcoding. From there, for the pirated stuff (SP Daten), you'll likely want to go the torrent route (though you may find some of those cloud storage posts are still around, could always DM the owners of the posts and ask.)
Nobody is going to otherwise post a link to pirated software as It's typically against the EULA of any forum/community. Others will say if you had to ask how to get access to the information, you may (I'm stressing the may), want to hire someone to do it for you. You can always follow the guides on the hardware and let someone code for you remotely. Start a thread in the right place about it and you'll likely get the reply you want. If you go that route, save that question for them. If you want to do it yourself, you should head to bmwcoding and read their newcomer thread, and then proceed from there.

Thanks I'll do as you recommend, and for the record I have no problems hiring someone however everyone I message do not respond so my only option is to try and figure it out myself or asking folks on the forums which only ends up in incomplete information.
I appreciate your response and recommendation though.
