I have a 2004 530i E60 (build date: 2003-09-08) and I want to update the car with Bluetooth and iPod capability. The car has the following:

605 Telematic Preparation
639 Complete Prep. Cellular Phone USA/CDN
677 HIFI System Professional with CD Changer

In looking around it seems that the Dension Gateway 500 (GW51MO2) with the BTA 1500 will work. I?d like to know if this system is all I need; and/or is there a better way to go.

hi there far as i know if you have the idrive system then the denison gateway 500 is the correct mod for this i have purchased one just waiting to get it fitted. i beleive there is a full in depth thread on this topic on the forum . sorry i couldnt be much help im new to this forum, wish you the best of luck!

 

Another option is a 6FL retrofit, not sure which will be cheaper though.
