Sound quality is very good, of course it depends from the source, in my case Ipod is almost good as CD.
I paid 120 euro installed.

My Ride: E60 M5, F85 X5M
I also used the info Stream gave me to get my Aux Input installed at Stevens Creek BMW for about $210. The initally wanted over $400. Mine is an '04 545.
