Hi,

I'd probably like to fit the OEM front carbon splitters and rear carbon diffuser to my Nov 2007 LCI E60 which are shown in the 2008/2009 accessories catalogue in the BMW dealer. (UK)

When I was in there last week, they tell me they are doing, and can get, the front splitters (?125 each) but that the rear diffuser (?275) is no longer available even though it is in the new catalogue.

I wouldn't want to do the front of the car without the back, and so I wondered if anyone on the forum knows where there might be one available.

I have seen some aftermarket ones, but I'm not keen. I think the genuine OEM BMW ones are a nice and subtle touch.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers, Melv

Really!! I was in a dealership today and was just asking prices for a few items. The ones you mentioned I also asked about but the parts guy didn't tell me the rear ones aren't available. When I pick my car up on sat, I will check with him again. Perhaps if I wanted to buy them today, the answer would have confirmed what you wrote. If I hear any different this sat, I will let you know.

I also noticed in the booklet that BMW sell a CF rear version for non-aerodynamic package (51 19 0 412 951) although no picture was shown. This CF part would bring a smile to lots of owners over in the states. IMHO, the non-aerodynamic bumpers look terrible.

cheers

I agree Melv. The OEM one will fit the OEM bumper much better than any after market one. I can tell you that the install of mine was a real pain in the butt! I ran into the same problem when I tried to order mine here in Germany. Your only hope would be if a dealer happens to have one on in stock...

Not sure if you have already, but have you given this place a call?
