This topic has been covered extensively but I'm having a hard time find complete solution. I'm looking to get a custom quad exhaust for my 550, deep but not too loud, more like a true V8 engine should sound.
This is what I came up with so far. Cut the original exhaust after resonators, add x-pipe to help with the drone and add 2 turbo tubes for the mufflers.
What do you guys use for the x-pipe and turbo tubes ? part numbers would be very helpful.
Also, please post sound clips if someone has a similar setup.

Look up Bimmer32 and drone keywords. The turbo tubes I used are from Jones exhaust. Get the shorter ones to it will fit on the battery side. It has been years, and the mufflers have held up well too. You can get the x-pipe from magnaflow. The inside diameter (ID) is 1.75; you don't need anything bigger, but you can go 3.5 inch tips for the tail exhaust from ebay for about $105 They are also staggered too which is nice. You ca add two more resonators after the factory resonators. Guaranteed for a very nice rumble; not obnoxious, but just a nice presence on idle.
