I just got my magnaflow muffler installed. It was at OK Muffler shop and they did a good job.
It is droning (per wife) and I probably need to put a resonator on it. Anyone know what type of resonator to use?

NICE! If you deleted your resonators then you do have drone, but if you only changed the muffler's out you should have little to no drone.

They did a great job Joe. I think they took out the y reso. Not sure. I'll have to go look under the car. Anyway it is very loud but they are very good and said just bring it back and they can put in a aftermarket reso.

First is to get rid of your Avatar... My ASC light is/had been on ever since I got the head and valve job. Maybe the tech didn't connect something or broke something but the damn light is driving me crazy. Also the light that says my trunk is ajar is on so maybe a actuaor or something. Finally got rid of the CEL. It just went off last week and hasn't come back on. I think it's the gas cap though. I had it reset and remember getting gas one day and it came on shortly after.

After mechanicals are done will be putting on M5 bumper and maybe painting or re-spray. Car is Cosmos Black. I love driving the car. I actually drive it more than my e60. Oh, suspension and lowered and new wheels. I tired to fit the take offs from my e60 on but they didn't fit. Hole patter was correct but there was a lip or something on the e39 wheel. Is my daily so am testing out DIY stuff on her too.

Looks like the Y-resonator is still on. They just took off the muffler(s). I have a very loud and droning sound. Really hurts the ears. Anyone else had this muffler on and got the noise down? Should I put the old muffler back on?

Any suggestions on where to install in SoCal and how I can make it sound louder than a stock? I picked one up from r1racer yesterday
