My mechanic disassembled an 01' or 02' M5 and dropped the engine and transmission in another BMW.
He was wondering if I wanted any of the other parts, ie dual intakes, short throw shifter, exhaust, etc.
I am wondering if they are compatible and if this even makes sense. They are two entirely different cars, right? Would my more recent and advanced car benefit from anything? Your thoughts are apprrecaited!

I'm quite sure that there isn't a part from the e39 M5 that can be used on a e60.

It won't work. I tried to keep some of my parts from my E39 for my E60 and pretty much found that nothing would work.
