Now please keep in mind that my 2004 530i is underpowered to start with.... I know, please don't remind me that I shoulda bought the 545i , but with that said. RPI's scoop and new exhaust have given me a little something to smile about!

Thanks Eloy and Joe from RPI! Joe, please feel free to chime in with and explanation of the numbers, as I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. I will say that I can "feel" a difference in power during hard acceleration.. I guess my "butt dyno" wasn't lying to me!

Bone Stock

Stock vs. w/RPI scoop

Stock vs. RPI exhaust

The only thing that we didn't do was dyno it with both the scoop and exhaust together.

Thanks... I didn't expect to see such a big increase in power.

That's great news, Al! Thank you for posting this info. RPI rules! Everyone should dump their current set-ups and go with RPI. I'll lead by example and go first.

The two graphs provide very valuable information.

1. Stock vs RPI scoop. We did not had any information about any power gains for the 530i with the V1 scoop. The other two 530i owners, NeRwEEzy and Fantastic 5, both have custom scoops thus their numbers were not valid even though gains were reported. Clearly, a gain can be seen from the mid-range to top end with a peak gain of 4rwhp.

2. Stock vs RPI exhaust. Torque and horsepower gains can be seen all throughout with peak hp of 7rwhp and peak torque of 8 lb-ft.
