Hi there

Informed yesterday at 2 BMW dealers in Belgium for the ACM module because I want this stuff finally installed.
I'm active in the audio/video and automation business and I'd love to watch my TV recordings & mp3's in the car when I'm in those frequent traffic jams.

Meanwhile the partnr has changed.
I asked the price of partnr 65 50 0 418 002
They replied with partnr 65 50 0 431 544 at 508,58 EUR VAT 21% included.
Deliverable within a few days from Germany.

Anyone an idea where we can download the install instructions, wiring diagram, ... of the new partnr?
So I can check what's the difference with the previous partnr.

I'm prepared to make a step-by-step installation guide with comments, detailed topology, pin connections and lots of pictures.
Very very busy job, but I consider this as my contribution to this forum.
I just plan to integrate a mediaplayer (http://www.tvix.co.kr/Eng/products/C2000U.aspx) on it.
I have this already (60GB HD) and this works perfect.
I plan to integrate this in the armrest.
So only the mediaplayer, actually no plans for front and back camera.
Target date is 10/8/2007, because then I'll be (hope so) on the road for a +2000km holiday trip.

I saw in the wiring diagram of partnr 65 50 0 418 002 that there is a RS232 control.
I gues it's for the TV tuner.
I have an idea to control the mediaplayer via this, but it'll be trial and error when I have the module.
Don't ask already questions about this.
I'll first have to check what messages are pushed to the RS port.

So who can help me on te way to heaven

Grtz

Can someone translate this which comes from installation manual:
Im ?Service Men?? m?ssen die im Fahrzeug verbauten Systeme ausgew?hlt werden.
Nicht ausgew?hlte Systeme werden beim Scrollen ?bersprungen oder sind f?r den Kunden nicht sichbar.
Um das ?Service Men?? aufzurufen:
- Durch langen Tastendruck der ?Men??-Taste das Zubeh?rmen? aufrufen
- Controller 1 mal nach rechts schieben
- Controller 3 mal nach links schieben
- Controller 1 mal dr?cken
- ?Service Men?? verlassen

In the "service menu" the systems built in in the vehicle must be selected. Selected systems are not skipped in the Scrollen or are for the customer not sichbar. In order to call the "service menu" : - Through long keystroke of the "menus" -key the accessories menu call - controller 1 once to the right push press is indicated - controllers 3 once to the left push - controller 1 once the "service menu" at the board
monitor. Built in and/or not built in systems can be selected and/or blocked now by turning and pressing of the controller. Selected and not selectable systems blackly are represented. Selectable systems are represented white. - Leave "service menu"

Remind me again why were we translating from the German instructions when the English was listed too?

I just wanted to confirm the English instruction page. I was able to access BMWTIS last weekend to access English instruction and everything was clear.

Hi,

Where did you purchase the ACM module ? Was it from Euro dealer or ebay ?

Thanks,

I purchased it at Cajun Crab House
The person at the Crab House import the unit directly from Germany.

I called around and no dealer knows this part number. Maybe quad_m can help
