My Ride: 2004 545i, 1995 M3
I am looking into adding the ACM unit to my car. My car is a 2004 545i (01/2004 build) WITHOUT NAV. I do not have the AUX in but do have the Logic 7 stereo with the CD changer in the glove box.
I am looking interested in the rear camera option. Will this unit work with a regular eBay camera or will I need the overpriced BMW unit? Will the camera automatically come on when the car is put in reverse? What brand/type of camera have you guys been using?
What DVD player do you need for the ACM unit? What part # and price is the BMW DVD player?
Can you watch the DVD when driving with the ACM? Are mods needed to make the unit do this or do you need to buy other products?

2 Any camera can fit the unit , but you need a simple AV input modification.
3 Am using Audiovox dvd
4 no you cannot use it while driving

Does that means, if you like, (and you know how to connect it) you can watch TV at any speed ??
If do so, then BMW is more permissive now and you don't need any tv-free unlock boxes
