Can a single din dvd player be installed in the dash of non nav cars? I have the open cubby hole where the nav slot would be.

Just got the iDrive interface from Dominic and now I have to figure out how Im gonna us/install it.

Was considering installing this one...

Was wondering the same...I have seen a JVC unit with small 3" lcd installed in the cubby. The JVC is almost the same size as the cubby. In theory there should be some din slot space behind it enough to fit any 1 din unit.

Some mods to the facia plate i would guess..

It's possible, behind the trim there are two DIN slots of standard height, but you'll need to fabricate mounting brackets/screws to hold the mounting cage for whatever head unit you choose (not too hard). You can either put your HU in the lower DIN or move the MASK unit down one slot and put the HU there. If you actually want to insert DVDs/CDs into this thing you'll have to do the latter since otherwise the shifter will block it. If you do that latter you'll have to dremel and drill the metal on the front of the MASK to get it to fit and screw into the lower DIN slot. Then you'll need to make new trim (I'm doing that now with some liquid plastic, it'll take me a few weeks).
