I have a 545 and the brake dust kills me!
If I get new Axxis pad do I have to re surface the rotors?

I'm going with the Axxis Advanced Deluxe pads , I have the good fortune to have member West Coast M5 living very close by and he has agreed to sell me a pair which he planned to put on his 550 before the M5 bug bit him hard .............. Thanks for the input and education............ now more waiting( it's getting expensive)

Small input here:
I have experienced severe brake fade at max braking effort on stock pads slowing the car from 200km/h only after a couple of times. Made for a nervous experience. Our rotors our pretty good heatsinks - but the stock pads can only take so much.
I'm thinking of getting Redstuff installed in March - I heard from other forums and some other members here over the years, that Axxis lacked bite when cold.
I think Nick had Axxis and maybe can confirm this. They are stellar however when it comes to reduced dust, this for me however is a secondary concern (even with 172M's)...

I've had the Axxis Deluxe advanced installed and I was very happy with nearly total absence of the dust, but I was dissapointed with the "cold bite" You've had to pre-push the pedal to warm/clear the pads surface, so to get then an acceptable braking result.
So, after about 10K km of use, I replaced them with EBC Redstuff and now braking is a little better than the stock pads, much better than the Deluxe, but dust is back again, about 50% less compared to the stock pads.
