My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
I bought my quad setup from a member here, it is true that to be able to fit the muffler on the right side they will need to bash the battery box with a hammer to create clearance for tips (not as bad as it sounds), they will need to bang in the corner (lower part closest to the spare tire well) about an inch to allow room for real tips to fit.

My Ride: 2007 550i Silver A08. CF Kidney Grills, Vossen CV1's 20x9, 20x10.5, wrapped with Hankook Evo's, RPI exhaust, ACS trunk spoiler, K&N Filter, CF Front Splitter, Updated Lighting interior and out (HID's and LED's), rear LCI Conversion w/V6.1 cables (Ricky Effect).
I'd rather bang in the replaceable exhaust (if its a small enough ding) than the irreplaceable battery box, but I get the idea. Any chance of some underside pics to demonstrate how much work was required to make this work?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Not sure if its different in 545is - but my muffler on the passenger side is a bit narrower, hence no bashing of any kind was required for the install
