Yes, it is a must! fully insulated or heat resistant (especially in the center and driver side becasue the coolant system heats a lot. Also no air leaking! I have all insulated on mine too.
No air leaking at all. Everything's tight like a tiger.

Looks good John. After seeing it, I'm thinking about doing it also. I just like the RPI scoop for the passenger side. I think it looks weird with just one side.
Exactly! Never wanted to spend $800 on Dinan intake. That thing cost pennies to make. Okay, I'm exagerating but come on! $800??? I'll buy it for $400 but never $800. Shit I'll even buy it for $500. It's just not worth $800 for a nicer Dinan top and some tubing.

Hey Johnny - I guess work is going pretty well, because you are spending money like crazy! Yeah baby! Hahahahaha!!!
LOL. What work? I took out my 401K from my previous company and did an early withdrawal. Works out better. I dumped all that little money into newer mods. hahahaha

I wanna be side by side with a 550i and see what the difference will be.
Deal. See you at the July 25th meet. My 550 is stock so it should be a decent basis for comparison.

That G was way gone before I bought anything honestly. Dinner here dinner there, I just realized last month I spent over $700 eating out to decent restaurants.
