Does anyone feel in the winter, your BBK works harder / is more prone to get messed up?
How do people in North east deal with this that has an M5 or BBK on their e60?
Do you guys just not drive it at all in the snow?
This is my only car so rain, snow, sun, I have to drive it, even to snowboarding sometimes..
Are their BBK that support 17 inch rims? I want to get a set, but worried that my 17 inch OEM Winter wheels won't fit.
or am I better off just sticking with the brakes the 530i has already? (i think changing the rotors to drilled/slotted, and changing the pads and brake calipers).

most BBK's will be over 370mm diameter => no 17" min 18"
I'm gonna install M5 brakes soon and plan 19" for summer/winter setup although 18" would suffice as well.
I can't see how there would be a downside during winter driving..

With a BBK you will need larger wheels and tires which increases your cost.
I would also be concerned that the salt etc is going to damage the nice calipers if you drive the car year round.
BBK's look great and do improve braking performance however do you really need stronger brakes, I decided to paint my calipers (Eastwood) and am thinking about cross drilled rotors.
