I asked in a prior posting if it was possible to switch from the standard heated seats to the 20-Way Multi-Function Comfort Heated Seats. Well, it is indeed possible. I just finished having the local dealer swap them for me.
I bought the Comfort Seats off of eBay. They were out of a salvaged 2005 545I. They were in perfect condition with the exception of a blown seatbelt pre-tensioner (they used one off of my old seats to replace it.)
Here are the numbers;
Used Comfort seats - $450
(Yes - $450 for the pair including shipping from Wisconsin to California!)
Labor - $729.88
(Yes ? Total install with clearing of codes; Thank you Bob Smith BMW & Service Writer Julia Moffa)
Total cost for the best seat swap ever - $1170.88.
Now, anyone want to buy a pair of beige heated standard seats?

Yes, black is what I wanted. The rear seat will be dyed as will the top of the center console and some door panels. That will be another posting.
Thanks; Yes Bob Smith BMW Service and Julia have been great. The Mini side is another story!
