I don't let any of my dogs in any car without them being in a pet crate. Sure they don't get to stick their head out the window and bark at passing cars, but if I get in an accident I known my dog is going to survive the crash rather that get shot through the front window.
Pets roaming free in the car is not safe. You wouldn't let your kids do it would ya?

I have a 50lb boxer and i dont put anything to cover the leather...so far so good though. She hasnt scratched a thing. I guess i should protect my leather but just have been too lazy.

Shoot, I'd kick a hot girl out of my car if she didn't behave herself....

How about letting the dog sit behind the front passenger seat and in front of the rear passenger seat. I have a 60 lb yellow lab. I love my 545i but I love my dog more. In any event, she is less messy than my 2 yr old daughter and I would never think twice about letting my daugther in the car so why should I hesitate with my 8 yr old lab?
