I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess -- not a chance!
The new shifters are electronic "shift by wire" and I'm pretty sure the old ones are a mechanical linkage type...

I have it sitting in the garage Rudy and from a standpoint of fitting it, it's doable(ish). The electronic adapter is however different > so I will be shipping it to Fred soon to get his opinion on it ! (since he has experience from the M5 lever kit) - let's see if he can pull it off, he's projects are mounting, hehe !

So the old one is also purely electronic? (I don't have access to any TIS right now...)
I assumed it was mechanical...that'll teach me to go out on those limbs...

The LCI shifter can be MOUNTED on the step, but would be nice to get the lighting working to schedule > that's were Fred would come in...

So, it fits and works without any problems?
That parts do I need to change? You said the electronic adapter is however different....
If you can tell me exactly what do I need to do I would appreciated
Thank you.

Thanks for clearing that up Andy -- my mind is still in the context of the entire shifter assembly and not just the handle because my entire assembly just got replaced...
BTW, did anyone catch the typo in the subject? I don't want to be "lifting" any of those!

Someone in central Europe should invite Fred here and we would bring there all our E60 to mod
