My Ride: 2006 525i Msports. Sapphire Black on Black. Cube Aluminium Interior. Matte Black Grills.
Hi Folks,
Anyone with the experience of having an ECU remap done by DMS of UK?
I have a 525i and am thinking of using them. Any experience or comment would be most welcomed.
I have also heard conflicting comments if remapping would damage/cause more wear and tear on the engine. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

My Ride: 535d Sport Saloon / Carbon Black / E-maps re-map / 20" Vortex R alloys - carbon black / Pro-Nav / Vis pack / heated leather / enough for now /
DMS have a very good name. Not the cheapest, but amongst the best.
Getting a group buy together (same day & location) is one way to get the cost down.
Hp/torque gains aren't as good as forced induction cars, but you might find you get a bit more go out of a 525, plus any flat-spots can get ironed out.
Not the greatest bang/? return though.
Oh, and on extra wear - theoretically yes, but nothing extra you'd really notice. Its not as though you drive it @100% all the time.
More chance of increased wear with turbo(s) or s/c though.

No real issues on wear and tear but you should tell your insurer...
DMS are highly recommended but I've only see people raging about turbo-diesel remaps as this is where the main business is!
