Hi all

Just curious as to what peoples fuel consumption is like pre and post DMS on the 535d. Thinking of getting it done and read that it actually improves fuel economy on the smaller diesel engines. Is the same true for the 535d?

Cheers

So much depends on traffic conditions and driving style.

For what its worth, over the last 1000 ish miles, I've been averaging 32 mpg.
That's with e-maps, rather than DMS, but I'd be surprised if that makes any difference, certainly compared to having a different driver.

I am getting much the same post DMS 25mpg. Having said that, you tend to drive the car a little more aggresively with DMS, so if I am getting much the same number DMS may well have improved my fuel efficiency.

Mine returns 31mpg after Simon of Emaps did his stuff, thats with mixed driving over the last 4390 miles

To be honest fuel consumption is a little better than before, but the car drives like a different beast

better if its all motorway, then in the low 50s

E60Beemer...You get what sort of mileage? Impressive...

I did a 200 mile run mostly motorway last week and maxed out at 42.2mpg for the whole trip (it dropped a tad once I left the motorway). Normally I get 34.4 in mixed driving but never anywhere near 50...

Did this improve after your remap or do you just have a good 'tight' example of a 535d?

been watching this one!, no joke thats what i range on a motorway, it has been remapped though, and before that the mpg was ridicule compared to now................the remap has paid a 100 fold over now in savings, even with the absolute DISGUSTING Amount of tax on fuel here........damn Labour Govn!!!! I,l do a trip computer pic when im out on long one again!

a remap is must i think for the 535d

my biggest wonder is how would a 520d lci perform like? after a remap??
