I think we are about an octave lower then most of the other exhausts on youtube. The other thing I've noticed is a lot of the other exhausts are extremely raspy during reving.

You tube vid & sound clip.

Don't have the right bumper for that type of eye candy.

Slight update:

I've put about 1400 miles on the car. So far, I've recorded an average MPG increase of 2.9 miles per gallon. This is pretty good considering how "spirited" I've been testing the vehicle.

We may convert the car back to stock and get a baseline dyno. Typically I'm not a big fan of dyno'ing just exhausts. I've always felt that they are a power supporters, but not necessarily much of a power adder. This prototype I think may be significant enough to measure and get consistent data.

One thing I am certain of - this car is begging for headers. There is a lot potential left there. I haven't really felt an exhaust make that much of a difference in a while. When I have seen this kind of difference, we made LOTS more power when we went further upstream.

headers are pretty spendy though, right?

Atleast, for the v8's

I'm looking forward to the sound clips when i get home from work.
Going to be fun testing this out on my home theater (hehe)

Our primary business is private label manufactured tubular assemblies (headers, exhaust, intakes, etc) for aftermarket companies all over. As we tend to do much of their R&D, development, prototype, production qualifying and production, it's not an issue for us to develop a set. In fact all of these parts will be fully R&D'd, tested and available for sale within the next couple months. The only thing you won't see is the crazy markup, unless we sell out and sell the designs to one of our customers. Then I'm sure they will charge you atleast a rediculous amount for them.

Slight update:

Picked up the latest/greatest AEM Fuel Ignition controller. We're going to see what kind of power we can dial out of this machine. Interestingly enough this is the same setup one of our customers use to tune in their m series turbo kits. Wouldn't that be sweet? 545i-TT.. Oooh.
