I am consdering the Dinan CAI, throttle body, and Remus Exhaust for 545iA. Those that have them installed can you please advise if you feel and see significant improvements in terms of performance gains (ie acceleration) and sound. Is the difference night and day? Please advise from your experience.
Thanks in advance.

Yes. Also, a BIG win is buying lighter rims and tires (non run-flat). I'm saving like 15-20 pounds per wheel, which is mad HP.

Make that 3 for YES! Noticeable improvement in power.
Looks like you have a nice variety of Dinan parts coupled with different exhaust combinations from these replies...Remus, B&B, Dinan.

My Ride: Nov.2005,545i Black Sapphire, Auburn interior,SMG,Sport Package,Rear spoiler,35% tinted windows,Sirrius Radio,Xenon lights,DINAN High Flow Intake,DINAN Thottle Body, DINAN Free Flow Exhaust,DINAN 19" wheels,DINAN flywheel,
I have thr DINAN exhaust, throttle and inflow plus the 19lbs. wheels
The chages made a difference, I dont have g-meter data just subjective eavaluation: faster, more punch at SMG gear changes, better handleing and great sound
I love it and since I have a 545 that I bought 6 months before 550 came out the modifications I got give me the right to a DINAN badge,
I fell less cheated by BMW that way, and I've got power to compete wit the new 550
Go for the mods tahts is my advice

Hey electroe60. Did Dinan send you the badge? Can you show me a pic? My buddy there had told me they were making a new Dinan badge for the e60 so I'm wondering how it looks. Since I didn't get their wheels, and only their performance mods, I only have 7 points right now but hoping to reach 10 pts with their air mass meter and software.

You can not really affect the low RPM torque of the engine wiht these mods (that is piston size, cams, and valves). But the CAI/Throttle remove the restrictions at higher RPM's. I notice the real difference when I hit 3000 rpm, where it feels like the engine just comes to life. I presume this is the point where the engine was getting starved for air.
It will make your 545i start approaching the Peak HP of a 550, but the 550 still has a low end torque advantage (there is no replacement for displacement).
BTW, Dinan still has a 10% rebate for these parts, so if you are considering it, I would move on it.
