Guys,

I finally picked up my baby this afternoon (Pics this weekend, hopefully). It took the dealer almost two weeks to install the M-Tech Aero Kit after buying the car on May 31st. However, that is a topic for another post.

Here is my question: Has anyone installed the Dinan Stage 1 suspension on a 545i that has the sport package? I had a chat with the dealer's Dinan rep and he said that if it were his car; he would install the Dinan suspension before making any other mods, except possibility the exhaust. Is he trying to move some extra Dinan inventory or is his suggestion legitimate?

For $1500 for the S1 suspension, of course a Dinan rep would say that. Consider the source. I think you did the correct mod first, the M aero kit.

I don't think it matters where you start. If you are looking to mod cosmetically, then start there. Or if you are performance minded, then start there. That's my $0.02.

like what ro11dice said it doesn't matter where you start your mod. It could be exhaust first , bodykit first, suspension first.. its totally up to you.

Thanks guys! That advice did sound a little self-motivated. The guy said he used to own a heavily modified M3 so I thought he could possibly be on the level. At any rate, I think I will go the cosmetic route first and then add the performance stuff later.

Gotta Love This Forum!

Since the dinan suspension is just re-badged konis and eibach or h&r springs, I think $1500 is way too much. You could buy the shocks and springs separately for a much lower less. By adding sways and quality alignment, you'd still be under the $1500 price.

Though, I'd agree with the dinan rep in that the suspension would make the biggest difference.
