So im speaking to a local AUTHORIZED Dinan supplier and these are the numbers he has given me:
Stage 1
uninstalled - $694.23
Installed - $749.88
stage 2
Uninstalled $833.36
Installed $899.01
stage 3
Uninstalled - $972.48
Installed - $1020.13
Air Intake
Uninstalled - $1501
Installed - $1167.26

Now on my recent addition of the magnaflow exhaust i started to feel the heat of the summer...and want something more. My question is, Who has or had the stage 1 software and how was it? Was it a night a day difference? Did you actually feel it? BUYERS REMORSE?

I have the stage 1 and Dinan exhaust. Very happy with both. Not a night and day difference but I very rarely use all the power my car has. I have a Quaife LSD and when I hit the gas the car goes. The car feels a bit faster overall with the software but the drivability and throttle response is much improved in my opinion. If you are looking for M5 power you will be disappointed, if you want your car to give you the power and responsiveness that BMW smoothes out for the masses you will be happy. I am very satisfied. Car just drives better.

+1. Well said. I have the Dinan S package and absolutely love it.

Another point to consider....

Out here in California, if you install
ANYTHING dinan on your car (at the dealer), the
car goes into a BMW database.

If you plan on trading in your car it cannot be certified
as a CPO BMW.

I was told that this could take off upwards of 2-3k for
trade-in value of the car.

That fact alone has made me seriously reconsider getting
even a dinan exhaust. I plan on trading my car in 1-2 years
and don't want to lose 2-3k in trade in value because BMW
is so prejudiced against dinan when it comes to CPO.

I am pretty sure that the Sptint Booster does way more than Dinan stage 1. It deletes more throttle lag than the dinan tune and it costs less. The dinan stage 1 only adds like 6hp and you can achieve the same by simply dropping in a K&N Filter. So my advice is to get the SB and a K&N filter. The only difference would be that the dinan removes the limiter.
