Fred (my530i) the Sprint Booster you installed in your 550i is very responsive and price reasonable too. I test drive Fred's E60 yesterday and the enhancement is noticeable, no more throttle lags during acceleration

Gaining 15-20hp is not worth it and unnoticable. I did it on my previous 530i for gaining 13hp or so, but there is absolutely no difference. Throttle still lags big time.

When you modify the powerchip, does it void your warranty? I might want to do it too

Looks like I'm about to burn more money on this car since the M5 negotiation with the wife has gone severely south.... :'(

Certainly not the 20+ hp gain that some other software tuners boast but oh well...I'm a Dinan whore...
I just looked at Dinan's website for the software upgrade and they have 3 different stages to the upgrade depending on whether or not you have just a K&N filter or the Hi-flow intake or both the Hi-flow intake and the throttlebody. Only concern I have is that they charge an additional $100 bucks per stage increase: So stage 1 is $499, Stage 2 is $599, and Stage 3 is $699, but is there going to be any noticeable difference between the different stages? Or is this a gimmick so that they can charge an extra $100-200 to those guys that already bought their throttlebody and intake. Any comments?

If you're going to get the software, I'd spend the extra $200 so you have software that is tuned for your car. In the end, it should help you get the most out of your mods.

Yup.

What's weird is that they don't put any horsepower numbers for Stage 2 and 3.

That's what I'm wondering about too. Are there any hp or torque differences between the different stages?

Do any of the stages for the Step improve the quickness of the Step's shifting?
