The Vishnu/Procede was the first to the market about 9 months ago, its performance gains are about the same as the Dinan about 85hp and 120 ft lbs at the crank. I waitied for the Dinan because they have a relationship with BMWNA which maintains the 4yr/50k mi warranty.

The 545 is a great car and was my last ride. Remapping a turbo reaps benefits of another magnitude over a normally aspirated engine.

Sounds great Pennetta. I like the guys over at Habberstad BMW. They do good work, esp on the Dinan side. I look forward to meeting you this Spring/Summer, when we organize our next Meet & Drive.

+1 ...0-100 is where all the fun is, and blowing past old farts on the LIE. Nice update...keep em coming. Def should meet up. Is there a LI e60 club?
I installed Potenza AS960 Ultra Performance all seasons but they are "W" speed rated as well, so no need to wait.
The fastest I have ever gone in a car was my 545 at 160 as indicated on the speedo, probably a real 150mph. I also did 160 (indicated) on my Ninja ZX-10. I'm guessing 180 with the 535 Dinan.

Hey, great report. Even though I'm not a modder, I like to hear what you guys are up to. The comment about the car becoming "darty" I thought was particularly relevant to those considering such an upgrade. Having driven (not necessarily owned) various high performance sports cars over the years, I know exactly what you mean. In some ways, it almost seems better to use the term "thrust" instead of "acceleration," it's so pronounced. Obviously, loads of fun, but does make the vehicle a bit less suited for the casual commute. Glad to hear you're already liking it.

Interesting - thanks for the info. Looking forward to more.

Before the upgrade, had you noticed a laggy throttle from a dead stop, and if so, is it totally gone now? Is the throttle more (or too) "twitchy"? Is the car still drivable as a "drive around town running errands" car, with the power available if desired? *fingers crossed*

Are you thinking about getting their oil cooler as well? I know the 335 needs it, but I'm hoping that the stock 535 cooler is acceptable.
I never experienced any turbo lag before or after. The throttle is not twitchy but throttle movement causes an exaggerated response.
I have only driven it last night at rush hour and this morning at rush hour, so I don't really have a full acceleration, through the gears, assessment yet.
The roads where I was able to floor the car before, on my way to work, are no longer suitable because the car now gets up to speed a lot faster and I run out of open road. I am through first and second gears much quicker. We will need some of you local buddies with 535's and 550's to meet up with me to actually quantify the software benefits.
The power is hard to be specific about because the car is still very quiet and smooth in its operation so you only have the sensation of "seat of the pants" acceleration and visual assessment of the speed to judge it by.
Note: Yesterday, I mentioned that the car is slightly louder than before and questioned if Dinan programed the secondary exhaust pipe to stay open or open sooner. The inside rear exhaust pipe is still bypassed (closed) at idle so maybe it just opens sooner than before.
