One word - money pit

To each his own, but am entirely happy with stock performance of the 545 (although I am changing the exhaust note as you can see in my sig). If I wanted anything more I would get a M!

Dinan is so overpriced.

I'd rather get eurobahn software, a gruppe M intake and an eisenmann exhaust.

I can see why you would choose Dinan. They are a reputable name and you still can maintain your warranty, unlike the other tuners. On a $60K car that would be important to me.

They may be high priced, but I don't think they are any where near the price of an M5.

My Ride: 2010 E63 AMG -- Palladium Silver/Black. Love this car but looking to switch things up to keep things fresh. 2nd AMG in a row, but toying with coming back into the BMW fold!

When you think about it...it is easy for Dinan to maintain the cars original warranty, especially since their mods have no effect on the actual performance of the vehicle.

All kidding aside, I am a sucker for a good modification, as long as it can be independently verified as improving performance. Therefore, if I ever saw an "real" magazine test showing improved performance from a Dinan Mod., I would be the first one on their doorstep with my credit card in hand.

However, I will not hold my breath waiting.
