Folks,
Anyone want to take Dinan up on their offer for a free intake? http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=164183

Mh, I'm a bit far from there, but I'm wondering what kind of power gain it's possible to have with these parts ..
For real, not from dinan specs .

Thank you!

I have 550i and I would let Dinan touch mine just for the intake. It might worth it. If they want to do the exhaust, I'll be the first one, too
I just live 10 miles from where they are

What is good about intake? Does it give me 5hp? I don't think it's even good enough to drive the AC compressor

The intake for the 545 is rated at 17hp and 14 lb-ft by Dinan. They replace the whole factory airbox and add a secondary intake pipe with a carbon fiber section. The retail is $999. I'd jump on it in a heart beat if I had a 550. I actually told them to add me on the list if they ever needed a test car but never got a call...oh well.

GO FOR IT FRED! Or where's Swajames???

If Fred does not do it I will. I live in Scottsdale but I am in the bay area at least three days each MOnth. I have a 2007 550i Auto.
