In short, don't waste your time dynoing your car. It takes a lot of work to acheive acurate numbers. For a very long explanation, go to the white papers section of our website and read the paper Steve wrote on dyno procedures.
Obvious : with 3 HP gained, what dyno test do you want to do ?

Mr. J.
You should get your car dyno'd at the same place before and after the mod.

My intent is to use the same dyno shop if I do engine mods. I want a before and after dyno sheet.
As for as which dyno to go to, I wouldn't concern myself with absolute numbers so long as the numbers are consistent and repeatable. Dynos are best used for comparison's sake whether it be for mod tuning or against different cars, but preferably on the same day or at least same conditions.
I for one would really like to see the dyno results of a stock e60 versus something like ECFs car. Personally, I don't think the numbers will be that far off.
Oh and don't worry about running codes on the dash and whatnot. For modern cars this is pretty much normal as the computer gets confused for a bit. If you drive the car around for a few minutes, everything should and will return to normal.

I found some chip tuners in Europe can tune 550i to 390hp which is very common
Anyone knows any chip tuner here in US can do that?
30hp is worthwhile to do it, right?

Besides BMW did not leave 30 horsepower laying on the table unused by software.
Hey, anyone know if wheel size matters for dyno runs? Probably a stupid question. I should ask Freed0m to join us as well.
Heezy, I also heard the same about the fault codes disappearing after a little while but I wasn't sure if that was true.

No. Because our cars do not have "chips" anymore. They are flash programs

Joe, what type of mods are thinking about.

Don't believe to +30 HP maps ... Maybe 10-15, but 30 is impossibile .
If I you read +30 HP on the site of a tuner you have immediately to halve to 15, at least .
