There are a lot of companies that make stuff for the E60. How about you give us an idea of what you want done and we can give you some brands/names/suggestions.
I guess some "cheap" boosts in performance would be the cold air intake, so K&N?
What else? I don't know any other parts then. I had my eyes on the software upgrade which isn't so much switching out parts as it is just a software flash. Again, I have to gather money for this so about 2 grand is what I have. And I know I can't have it all, which is why I favor the software upgrade and leave the exterior untouched at stock. Kind of a ....sleeper look...

Right. Well, my budget is about 2 grand or so, a little over if need be. I'm not really looking for kits since alot of them out there are made to look like M5's, not something I'm that keen on doing. So no kits, unless they are very unique. Rims, I take back what I said earlier about AC. I found their little configurator for rims and I liked a couple of those (I'll elaborate a little more on that later). That really does it for the exterior parts. Maybe change the angel eyes from the yellow to white or blue (if it's legal to do so). Then the rest is all under the hood performance stuff. Exhaust counts as one of these as well. If I wanted to get quad exhausts on my my 535, I'd have to change the kit (right?) so I think I'll stick to the duals for those. Eisenmann is the company name? Ill have to check that out.

Dinan: you know already
K&N: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=33-2367
Sprint Booster: http://sprintboostersales.com/index.htm
AIB: http://www.angelibright.com/
There are cheaper options to boost your car like the Turbo Tuner from Split Second Tuning being offered through Eurobahn: http://eurobahn.us/turbotuner535i.aspx
This is a piggy back system however and taps into your ECU to alter certain signals to increase boost, fuel..etc.. Relatively cheap compared to Dinan but smaller power gains. If this is good enough for you, you'll have some extra cash for other stuff.
For exhaust, Remus is probably one of the cheaper options from a well known company or you can also do what some have done on this forum and that's to get one custom made using Magnaflow mufflers. Eisenmann exhausts aren't cheap. Other companies that make exhausts include Hamann, ACS, RDSport, B&B, Supersprint, Cross..etc.. and none of them are cheap.
Exterior-wise, you can probably find replica AC Schnitzer body kits for cheap on eBay. I'm just not sure of quality and fitment. There are also other companies besides OEM M Tech, Hamann, and ACS that make kits for the E60 like Rieger, Lumma, Kerscher, RDSport...but they're all pretty pricy.
And for wheels, well, if you want quality forged, lightweight wheels, they'll run north of $4K unless you happen to find some good deals or used ones. There's a thread in the Classified section from member 545ace selling some iForged wheels that are pretty hot and at a great price. I just don't think you can pull of getting wheels if you want to also do some performance mods and are limited to $2K.
My suggestion would be similar to MiamiPhil's above. Start with some performance mods (Dinan or Turbo Tuner), exhaust, Sprint Booster, Angel Eyes....Then save some more money and then maybe do exterior mods together or wheels/suspension. Just remember that you might say you only have $2K to spend on mods but once you start, you'll somehow find more money for more and more mods and don't be surprise if you total up your expenses a year from now to find that you could have bought a second car as a commuter. LOL

Eh, I'm a kid. I head back to school in a couple of weeks and I don't come home until the usual brief breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring, Summer). I don't think I'll be making money anytime between now and next summer, which isn't to say I won't be trying to. 2 grand is just an estimate, in high school a year ago I worked at our local Jewel (or Albertson's or Winn Dixie-like store) and make about 2 grand the time was there. So that was just off of estimates. The next two grand is assuming I get a better job and more hours, etc. The headlight I can buy now, but I think the rest will have to wait until later. I just needed some estimates so I knew what I had to do to get it. You gave me some brands so I'm going to go look at those. Thanks

I fail to see the benefit of the sprint booster, it doesn't add power and makes the accelerator less linear. Spend the two grand on the software and get real power increases.

I recently got my ECU remapped not Dinan (check my sig) and I'm very happy with it and I have the V8, you guys with the 535 have so much more potential!!!
Do it!!!
Do it!!!
I have the Dinan software done on my 545 and I would also suggest getting the Sprint Booster.
Why??
It's another software upgrade that will add to the RESPONCE of your Engine Software.
I can't stess enough how much the SB takes out the lag out of my cars accelaration. Even with my Dinan software done.
And it's not an expensive mod to get done.
I hope my opinion here makes sence.
