I take it back. I just recalculated. 275/30/20 is 3.5% bigger than 275/35/18 in overall diameter.

Yeah, I was reading a European Car article on a Hamann widebody M5 with 21" wheels. They said the increased rolling resistance hurts speed and that a modest 20hp increase from performance products would be needed just to get the car back to factory performance numbers.
