Hello. I am interested in whether there is a difference in the differentials of an automatic and a manual gearbox. I want to change the differential of my 525d 197 hp. with gear ratio 2.56 with one from 530d e60 automatic with gear ratio 2.47.

Is there a difference in the drive shaft, drive axles, clutch and so on?
In the photo they look the same with the difference that the 530d e60 2006y has a cooler.

manual and auto 525d and 530d use the same axles and diff case. The only difference between the manual and auto is the manual drive shaft is 15mm longer.
