My friend was in Accident in his STI. Somebody hit him from the back.

Insurance people gave him very hard time as he had film on the tail light. They actully did the light test from different distance and all that crap.

I would suggest not to Smoke it at all.
I experienced a similar situation with my old sti, but my tails weren't tinted! These cars are bad luck!

I like the debadge, For the tint, I would take it off. If you decide to leave it on though, try using a heat gun or blowdryer to the corners or where the wrinkles are. It might help a little.

Thanks, ya I came out alright! Some re-occuring back pains, but hopefully nothing the chiropractor can't fix

the film only cost 20bucks + 6dollars for shipping = 26
it took me an hour, but i still couldn't do it right.
Yeah, 1 hour is just not enough. It really takes time and patience. If you cant' do this, don't expect to try the windows . Just re-do it and eventually you'll get the creases out. I never did mines yet but I keep getting the same advice, take it SLOW!

Debadged cars are cool (and I've thought that for 25 years). I don't need no stinkin' badges -- and the only coast I'm near is Lake Huron!

A 350i would be great.... (I guess not quite a great as in the past though now that the M3 is a V8)

I always thought a debadge car looked clean and nice and never knew that it's frowned upon until I went to this forum . But it's easier for you because most ppl in this forum just here alone will not frown upon your 530 debadge. However, let say if you have a 525 or in my case a 528, that's a different story somehow. It's really funny how silly the whole concept of hating simply for that reason. I mean the car is EXACTLY the same. Just a different engine .

The tint would probably look better if you blow torch it as you apply it. I watched the guy who put 5% all around on my last car and he said the key for it not to bubble is using the torch. It probably takes alot of skill to do it right though,.
