I have a 2007 530 xi and I noticed after looking at your pictures that 4 LEDs in the headight assembly don't turn on for me, in any position (park, auto, on). Any ideas why?

+1. Mine weren't on when I purchased the car. A few months after that I had it at the dealer for an unrelated issue and they did the SW upgrade which did the trick.
Not sure if you can just go to the dealer and request the update without having issues or without having to pay for it. But definitely that's what it is.
