Here's one of the threads http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=52253 w/ pics... the OP installed it on a NAV equip car and also has the optional BT=Bluetooth module hooked up other than that functionality wise all same as on my non-NAV screen.
When within particular source (i.e. USB or iPod) all look the same as OEM BMW iPod interface as far displaying songs IDs.
Or this thread http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=52253 on a std non-NAV screen like mine.

also, does the BMW unit split long playlists into pages?
I bought the Dension thinking I was going to keep using my CD changer. Haven't used it once since, so I'm evaluating the idea of switching to the BMW unit, if it performs better. I don't need the aux or USB input.

My GW500 scroll thru as fast as on other sources on either its USB or iPod source, have you try to upgrade the firmware?
I also heard there is limitation of nubr of songs on the OEM BMW iPod interface.
To try to see if the issue is with the length of the song names try put a dozen or so song on a USB thumb drive w/ various length of ID tags.

I'm curious to see if there is a performance difference in scrolling songs between the dension and the BMW unit. my satellite stations scroll very quickly, whereas the song list on my dension pauses and leaps ahead in jumps. i wonder if the BMW unit does that as well due to the added length of the song names or if it is a dension issue.
