Planning to get the Dension Gateway 500 and use it mainly to listen to mp3's and inet radio from my iPhone.
Any problems with this?
I've tried searching, but I cannot search specifically for iPhone "4" on this forum and Gateway's site doesn't elaborate, just says "iPod/iPhone"...

Bah!!! It doesn't work. I plugged it in today. I see the playlist on my screen but no sound at all. Just slight clicking... ARGH!! I hope Dension can fix this. This sucks! (Also, I'm not able to get my free apps due to Iphone 4 not able to be jailbroken. WHACK!)

i have an iphone 4, and it works like a champ in mine. use the ipod UI from the root menu and control the streaming from the iphone. I use it every day for pandora streams.
if you leave the dension in ipod GW mode, your ipod songs will show on the screeen, but the streaming will still come out of the speakers if you start up pandora. but the second you hit seek up or down it will bounce back to ipod music. if you have it in ipod UI mode, the seek forward will get you to the next song on pandora.
also works like a champ in our GW500-equipped 04 745 that has absolutely no mp3 capability from factory.

It could be my connector. I have a Extender and that might be messed up. I'll try to go directly with that.

Oh, I got a response from Dension:
"Hello!
A new docking cable will be available in a few weeks which should sort out charging and connection problem with iPhone 4G.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us again.
If your problem is solved, please still provide us feedback, so we know you are satisfied and can close your ticket.
Best regards,
Dension Support Team

I emailed them again to see when exactly and how much and where we can purchase. I hope it'll be the right fix. I'm going to try something too tonight.
