I'd prefer to wait for the Dension as well (I really don't want to junk my CD changer or do without the aux/USB feature) but I sense the BMW IPOD interface will be released here in the UK very soon...oh and the end of my lease gets closer and closer

Any News on this product yet?
Does the car need recoding to install this product?
Does your e60 need to have MP3 Enabled to use this product?
Does it have any limitation like it Wont play or Business Radio etc etc like it has on the BMW ipod adapter unit?
sorry for the line of questions but I suppose sooner or later we all might wanna know these......

The only think I spotted is an apparent test install of the Audi version here, though it is obvious it hasn't been released yet for any manufacturers models. I suppose a picture of it is encouraging.

Well it looks good. And somehow I am so glad i dont own the AUDI A6, can you imagine having all those RED colors screaming at you all the time? I did own a 2001 A6 2.7 Biturbo which was no where as ugly as this ones interior...
anyways back to topic, this Dension guys are genius if they can release a model for the e60 and doesnt fry the iDrive in doing so...lol.... ats77 where are you....need the info...

Yes I totally agree, if BMW are struggling and have hit limitations and they own all the code throughout the car then I'll be impressed if Dension can do something better and emulates a CD changer with any version of Progman/CIP. Clearly they did it with all their previous generation products but I suspect MOST and the complexity of the technology implemention is proving a nightmare.

the dension website has the part number for the bmw unit. I emailed Dension regarding its avaibility, so far no news...
