I?m planning to install a Dension gateway 500 and AVR in my E61 2008. I have navi pro and CDC but I don?t have the TV option. I assume that the car have to be coded before I get video on the AVR. Would my local dealer be able to code this when I connect the AVR? I?ve read that the coding could fail if not the correct/original part number on the TV modul is present.

I have aux in, but not USB and ipod. Should I get it coded for this also or would the Dension Gateway fix this by itself?

I've no installed the AVR and the dealer has tried to code the TV option, but they are not able to code the CCC because there is no TV module present. They tried to code the CCC with the new system and the old, but with the same result. Any idea how to get the car/CCC code to TV without installing a TV module?

I found this:
http://www.diagsoft.de/pageeng.php?page=produkteeng
Looks like this product can code the TV function trough ODB.

If it?s possible to code this trough ODB, would it be possible to buy an ODB interface and some coding software? And do the coding with a Laptop?

I used NavCoder and an I-bus interface on my old E46 but I haven?t found anything similar for the E6X and E9X cars.

My car came with TV option. I bought GW 500 and AVR some time ago and never had it installed. Will it work on my car? Do you have any pics of tit installed?

I think that would work withcout any coding. But you need to have CD charger also.
