I have had a Dension Gateway 500, Bluetooth BTA1500 and the AVR installed in the UK. Works like a charm. I have tried this with the iPod video and iPhone 3GS. Both stream audio and video. I have also utilised the second AV input on the unit and attached it to a Western Digital HD Media Player (WD TV). This now plays all video files via a WD 250GB Hard drive.

To be honest, you can name them whatever you like keeping in mind that you dont go for a too long name as this will not be displayed on the iDrive. Also, have you upgraded the Dension firmware to 2.18? You can download this from the Dension website direct.

i don't know if you've solved your problem. by the way i had the same, i live in Italy, and i have had changing the loop of the most. not from the cd changer but directly from the CCC. i hope this can help you.

Can you tell me excatly what you did? With AVR you get 2 big sockets to put between CCC and car. but there is no optic fiber, so is needed to take out optic plug from the original CCC socket and put into the Dension ones. This is what you are talking about? did you change the loop in the socket?
I have the same situation GW500 working OK, but no video on the scren from AVR :/
