I like both of these rims. I have decided to stay with 19" as to go to 20" rims is just getting too expensive. It will be about $1200 more to go with the RX11's. I have never seen the RX11's in person, but they remind me of the M3 Competition series wheels I had on my M3, except they have a lip.

I know it is a matter of taste, but any thoughts?

I'd give an opinion if you'd post pics. Sorry, I am not sure what the wheels you mention look like off the top of my head.

If I was going with 19's, it would be the RX II. Great looking wheel and first class quality. You're going to want to do some springs though.....19's just aren't quite big enough to get there, especially on a non- sport car.

Maybe it just a wrong impression on my part but rims seem to cost a lot more in the US. For example I got qouted ?1100 for a set of genuine 19" 166 M5 wheels from my dealer. Thats about $1850. How much do they cost in the US ?

I was quoted $1600 for the 166 rims by Veheh at Crevier BMW. This would not be a taxable sale for me as I live out of state. My dealer wanted $1800 and I would have to pay another 9% sales tax for the state of Wash.

One advantage of the RX11 is they have a lip. I shudder to think what would happen to the 166's if my wife drives into a curb. But for the difference in price I could replace several wheels if need be.

Crevier BMW: 800-309-2318 ext 2275 ask for Veheh.
