stu nice car !!! I have the 124 wheels and love them

am I the only one with 124 wheels that gets the "rust" effect just behind the wheel where it meets the disc/hub ????? that area on stu's wheels looks nice and silver...mine are ALWAYS discoloured, bit like the effect you get on your discs (rotors) after you wash the car and leave them wet overnight.

I showed my hubs to the dealer and they just said it was normal due to the heat generated, this post has pictures of another owners E60 with same effect.

 

I had the dealer debadge my 545 at delivery.

Yep, I quite agree ... rust here is unacceptable.
Mine is suffering too . Photos are 3 months old. I,m going to make a fuss and I,ll let you know how I get on.
I,m this week launching a county court claim against BMW UK for the misrepresentation over the automatic air conditioning that is not automatic.
I love the car to bits but feel we,ve been "had" on this issue.
Results will be up here later .. wish me luck.
