Try Martin Motorsports (Gary Martin) -- he's a BIG BMW guy and a great person -- he's been racing for years and knows his way around cars without being pretentious about it

He's in Alexandria, VA by Landmark Mall

Does $400-$500 sound right to install lowering springs...
In LA I paid ~$180-$200 for install. I will will check with Gary to make sure he understands its just an install.
Or are prices in DC that much higher?

I think it's more due to VA don't have as many competitors(in terms of tuning shops) as in So Cal.
It's like most of shops outside of cali are charging by hourly rate rather than a fixed price.

Also try Road Race Technology. They specialize in only BMWs and have their own BMW race car's etc that they've built. Great shop and their located in the sterling/dulles area

Where in McLean are you located? You should come out to some local meets. I live in Great Falls and work across the street from Tysons Mall

Hey thanks.. will give them a call for a quote. sucks to hear that it cost more to install in this area.
I think I have seen your M5 drive down Jones Branch. Awesome color btw... plus its an M5.

I work next to the Hilton McLean and live in McLean as well.
Will be on the lookout for the next meet. Given I am new to the area, would be great to meet other car fanatics..

Thanks

Welcome to the area man...former SoCal native over here as well and looking for shops, competitively priced shops that is, is just not as easy here as it is in Cali.
